Chance for Snow Later Saturday & Saturday Night
We are looking at an increasing chance for snow across South Central Pennsylvania and North Central Maryland for later Saturday and Saturday night. Here is my early call for snow fall based on weather models and recent trends for a colder solution.
I'm putting South Central Pennsylvania and North Central Maryland a zone of 2 to 5 inches with the highest amounts in between the purple lines indicated above. Before we get to the snow however we have some warm conditions ahead.
The first push of warm air came in today as temperatures moved up into the 50s in most areas. Now we have the second surge of even warmer air coming in for Thursday. In the transition tonight we will have showers and fog. The showers will be out by daybreak Thursday. Then clouds should give way to some breaks of sun especially inland as we head up into the 60s...FOR MORE ON THE UPCOMING SNOW FOR PRESIDENTS DAY WEEKEND GO TO METEOROLOGIST JOE CIOFFI WITH THE LATEST OF THE NEW NAM MODEL.
