Cold Continues Snow Storm Deep South This Weekend
Cold Continues Snow Rain Showers Southeast New Jersey Wednesday
We have rather cold conditions developing tonight as skies clear out. There is still a bit of a breeze around this evening in some places but winds will drop off and temperatures will also. Wednesday morning we will be waking up to temperatures in the 20s and many cold spots to the north and west of the warmer urban centers will be down in the teens Wednesday morning.
The satellite loop shows clouds around to the north and west as weak disturbances move along in the cold northwest flow. Areas in the Ohio Valley tonight are seeing some snow showers as a result of this. We should however see mainly clear skies from Northern New Jersey to Southern New England. overnight. Areas in Pennsylvania southward into Maryland will likely see some clouds overnight but no precipitation is forecast.
Wednesday a storm will be developing well offshore and it will not create any major issues. However there will be a disturbance rotating around it that will line up into Central and South Jersey mainly from Ocean County southward. We could see a few snow or rain showers here and in colder spots a heavier snow shower could whiten up the ground a bit. Elsewhere skies should be no worse than partly sunny with temperatures in the 30s for highs.
Thursday a cold front approaches and we will see some sun and arriving clouds as highs make it back into the 40s. The front has very little with it except it does have very cold air behind it and that settles in for Friday and the weekend. We should see sunshine Friday and Saturday with highs just in the 30s both days.
Attention turns Sunday to a storm in the Southeast and its impacts. This looks to be a big snowstorm for parts of the deep south.. JOESTRADAMUS has more on this in his long range post.
